A corner of the world that exists no where else that I got to experience. On the other hand, a scene of commonality making the world smaller than it is. I could go find a similar composition on one of the many streets in Denver occupied by Ma and Pop mechanics. A thousand miles away or around the corner on Colfax Ave. or Federal Blvd.? In the end its not important. What matters to me is that I like it and it invokes meaning and memories of experiences past. I love the story this scene creates in my mind. I’m drawn to the texture, the color, and the evolving message of the utilitarian signage.

With a general disregard for more conservative traffic norms and methods, vehicular transit within Peru is not for the faint of the heart.

Texture so vivid I can still feel, hear, and smell it.

We continued our exploration in Cusco. The cosmopolitan boulevards of Lima traded for meandering dusty cobblestone streets crisscrossing through a city nestled in a valley of the Andes. Though accustomed to living at altitude, its elevation caused us to slow our pace.
